American Women’s Association of Indonesia has grown into a vibrant organisation with a supportive network of fellow expatriates, cultural integration, charitable works and plenty of fun activities! AWA is proud to serve the American expatriate community, and we welcome newcomers of every nationality.
In 1970, the Australia and New Zealand Association (ANZA) of Indonesia was established in Jakarta so that expatriate Australians and New Zealanders could meet and share experiences. They now welcome women and men of all nationalities and have members from all around the world.
They have two important missions. One is to provide members living in Indonesia with a welcoming, supportive and lively social network where you can meet new people, join in the many and varied activities, and attend social events. Their other mission is to give something back to the Jakarta community by helping disadvantaged Indonesians through our social welfare programs.
The BWA is a non-profit organisation, established in 1970 to offer support and friendship to ex-pat women living in Jakarta. BWA is run entirely by members on a voluntary basis and you can get a lot of satisfaction from getting involved. Helping out on the committee or helping to organise an event or activity is a great way to put your skills to good use. If you want a total break from any responsibility and simply to enjoy being a lady of leisure we can help you with that too, with our fun activities and groups.
The BWA is open to all nationalities, and at our house in Kemang we offer our members a variety of activities and clubs, weekly coffee mornings, lunches, Playgroups, quiz and social nights and so much more. In addition BWA raises significant funds to support local charities through an annual Fashion Show, biannual bazaars, ladies golf tournaments and other social events.
Their purpose is to encourage a sense of community as Canadian citizens in Jakarta, to offer social activities for the Canadian community, to provide support for newcomers and to contribute to social development needs in Indonesia. Monthly coffee mornings and membership open to all nationalitie

German-speaking association, founded in 1979, with the aim to be a bridge between different cultures, to convey knowledge about Indonesia and its people and to strengthen understanding between Germans and Indonesians.
“Die BRÜCKE” organizes events and activities to make settling easier and to enable friendships between members.
Association started by a group of women living in Jakarta who are interested in speaking Spanish or Portuguese and to learn more about the culture and customs of all the countries represented.

The Indonesian Heritage Society is a non-profit organization which aims to promote interest in and knowledge of Indonesia’s cultural heritage. With a large multinational group of registered Friends, the Heritage Society seeks to illuminate the rich artistic, historical and cultural traditions of Indonesia for the international community of Jakarta.
