To apply for a visa for you and your family, you will probably either have the choice of using services through the company employing either yourself or your spouse/partner or you will need to organise yourself.

if your visas are being organised by a company, they will advise which documents are necessary and will prepare many of them of them for you and your family. 

If you are applying yourself, VisaHQ  lists the following documents as required (as at September 2015)

  • Indonesian visa application form. For online orders, please download, print and sign Indonesia visa application, prepared by our system under your account.
  • Original, signed United Kingdom passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity.
  • Passport-type photograph: 1
  • Itinerary. Copy of round trip tickets or confirmed itinerary.
  • Yellow Fever Vaccination. If the applicant has traveled within the last 90 days to any of the Yellow Fever Countries an International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever will be required.
  • Authorisation from Indoneseian Immigration Office. The applicant must provide a written approval from the immigration office in Indonesia if they require multiple entries or if they wish to stay in Indonesia longer than 60 days.
  • Bank Statement. Copy of a recent bank statement showing proof of sufficient funds.
  • Employment Letter. An original letter from your employer/school (on business letterhead, with contact details), stating that a leave of absence has been granted and that you will be returning to your current job. If you are self-employed, include a copy of your business license and tax return. If you are retired please submit proof of your retirement fund.
  • Hotel Reservations. Copy of confirmed hotel reservations including name of the applicant, name and address of the hotel, duration of stay
  • Additional Documents for Children.
    – Birth Certificate. A NOTARIZED copy of the applicant’s birth certificate.
    – Letter of Consent. A NOTARIZED letter of consent signed by both parents, specifying who will be travelling with the child and authorizing the Consulate to issue a visa to the child.

It is worth noting that it is inadvisable to enter Indonesia for work purposes without the required visa.

Please check with the Indonesian Embassy in your country for estimated time to process your visa.

Please make sure that you list your title as exactly what has been agreed.

Many companies do not allow employees to ship items without a visa.
